In short
A course on event management for event planners, agencies, companies, organizations, venues and hotels. From the first idea to execution: format, budget, logistics, set-up, technical aspects, suppliers and handling the unexpected.
A method developed over years of work, where complexity lies not in the numbers but in knowing how to read the context and hold every piece of the event together.
Who it's
for
Event planners from agencies and companies, those who work in relations, organizations, businesses and associations. Anyone who works or wants to work in the MICE industry. And venues and hotels that don't just host events, but bring them to life.
Objectives
• Understanding what event is really needed, before even organizing it.
• Turning a vision into a real event, from the first idea to execution.
• Managing planning first, then operations, without losing track of the details.
• Keeping budget, timing, suppliers and unexpected issues together with a true overall vision.
• Handling the unexpected, because reality always outdoes imagination.
Topics covered
• Types of events: congresses, conventions, trade fairs, road shows.
• Sponsorships and patronages: who supports the event.
• The space: floor plans, flow, set-up.
• The services: reception, secretariat, food & beverage.
• The budget: estimates, cost control, expense items.
• The technical side: audio, lighting, video, translations and special effects.
• The planning: date, venue, feasibility.
• The operational phase: briefs, communication, coordination. Ideas become reality.
• The Gantt chart and direction: who does what, and when.
• The welcome: meeting points, hospitality desk, signage.
• The overall vision: keeping every piece together, without losing any.
Where to start
To start, I recommend a path of 4 sessions of an hour and a half each, dedicated to the fundamental topics:
• From vision to event: understanding what event is needed and defining its objectives and target.
• The space and services: floor plans, set-up, technical aspects, welcome.
• Budget and suppliers: estimates, cost control.
• Planning and direction: holding together timing, responsibilities and overall vision.
